Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Eclipse’

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Eclipse' is a upright growing selection of Lawson cypress with dense branching, and blue foliage amended by extensive yellow variegation. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 3 to 4 feet (1 - 1.3m) tall and half as wide, an annual growth rate of 3 - 5 inches (7.5 - 12.5 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling sourced from C. lawsoniana 'Columnaris' selected in 1978 by Andrew Cassels, Scotland, United Kingdom and introduced to the nursery trade by Kenwith Nursery, United Kingdom.
