Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Dow's Gem’

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Dow's Gem' is a broadly spreading, dwarf selection of Lawson cypress with coarse, layered branching, and long, dark green foliage. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 4.5 feet (1.5 m) tall and 6 feet (2m) wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 6 inches (10 - 15 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the early 1960s by Dow Nursery, Lodi, California.
