Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Depkenii' / Depkin's Lawson cypress

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Depkenii' is an upright, conical selection of Lawson cypress with lax, open branching that presents a spring flush of muted pale yellow foliage that fades to green over the course of summer. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 4.5 feet (1.5 m) tall and wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 6 inches (10 - 15 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling, selected in the late 1800s by G.W. Depken, Bremen-Oberneuland, Germany.
