Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Chantry Gold’

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Chantry Gold' is a broadly conical faster-growing selection of Lawson cypress with bright golden yellow foliage which darkens to orange at the tips. After 10 years of growth a mature specimen will stand 10 feet tall and 3 feet wide, an annual growth rate of nearly 12 inches (30 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling sourced from C. lawsoniana 'Yellow Transparent' selected in the early 1980s be Don W. Hatch's Chantry Nursery, United Kingdom.
