Cedrus deodara 'Cream Puff' is a semi-dwarf, broadly pyramidal selection of Himalayan cedar with dense branching and light, blue green foliage with white tips. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 10 feet (3 m) tall and 4.5 feet (1.5 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 8 to 12 inches (20 - 30 cm). Of the numerous white-tipped cedars in the nursery trade, 'Cream Puff' performs best in full sun - it is less prone to sun scorch once established.
This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the 1970s by William Goddard at Floravista Gardens, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
