Cedrus atlantica 'Argentea Fastigiata'

Cedrus atlantica 'Argentea Fastigiata' is a narrow tree-form of Atlas cedar with gray-Blue foliage, similar to 'Glauca.' It is distinctive through its narrow conical crown and ascending branches. Typical rate of growth in most areas is 12 to 15 inches (30 - 45 cm) a year, resulting in a narrow tree, 12 feet (3.5 m) tall by 3 feet (1 m) wide after 10 years in the landscape. It is an excellent choice for smaller landscapes where the striking effect of the Blue Atlas cedar is desired.

Hillier nursery of Hamshire, United Kingdom introduced this cultivar sometime in the mid 1950s.
