Abies lasiocarpa ‘Martha's Vineyard’

Abies lasiocarpa 'Martha's Vineyard' is a dwarf, upright, pyramidal selection of subalpine fir with uniform, dense branching and exceptionally long, fluffy grayish blue foliage. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 40 inches (1 m) tall and 2 feet (60 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 2 to 4 inches (5 - 10 cm).

This cultivar originated as an exceptional specimen that was selected and named in the mid-1990s at Poly Hill Arboretum, West Tisbury, Massachusetts, which is on Martha's Vineyard Island.
