Abies koreana ‘Blue Standard’

Abies koreana 'Blue Standard' is a slow-growing, pyramidal tree form of Korean fir with species-typical branching and growth habit. Foliage is blue with deep-violet cones, darker than the species. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 5 feet (1.6 m) tall and 2.5 feet (75 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 6 inches (10 - 15 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling, selected and Introduced in 1962 by J.D. zu Jeddeloh, Oldenburg, Germany.
