Abies koreana ‘Blaue Zwo’

Abies koreana 'Blaue Zwo' is a dwarf upright conical selection of Korean fir with attractive, steely, gray-blue needles. It is known to produce little seed cones from a young age. After 10 years of growth, a mature plant will measure 24 to 36 inches tall and 2-thirds as wide, an annual growth rate of 2 to 3 inches (5 - 7.5 cm).

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected around 1970 by Werner Wüsstemeyer Nursery, Schermbeck, Germany. In the German language, "Blaue Zwo" loosely translates into "Blue Number 2."
