Abies fraseri 'Frederick' / Frederick Fraser's fir

Abies fraseri 'Frederick' is at tall narrow upright pyramid with dark green foliage. A very unusual form for a Fraser's fir.

A narrow columnar plant with dark green needles.

Originated in 1970 by Don Frederick, Evergreen Gardens Nursery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania, USA. (RHS Encyclopedia of Conifers, 2012)

Abies fraseri (Frederick) This plant was selected from a group of seedlings because of its unique form by Don Frederick of Blairsville, PA. The original plant is now about 30 years of age and stands about 35' tall.
