Abies concolor (Sidekick)

Abies concolor 'Sidekick' is a Blue cultivar propagated from a compact witch's broom. Annual growth .5 x 1 inches (1 - 2 cm).

Found by Jerry Morris in the Rocky Mountains, USA.

The original witch's broom was very large when discovered in a 100 year old tree. The original broom was about 8 feet (2.4 m) off the ground and 8 feet (2.4 m) high X 6 feet (1.8 m) wide. When grafted, it becomes a small miniature plant of interest and grows less than 1 inch (2.5 cm) per year.
