Abies cephalonica ‘Robusta’

Abies cephalonica 'Robusta' is a very vigorous grower, compact, branches strong, long, ascending, the lower ones drooping, wide and distinctly spirally arranged, branches thick and stiff; needles very densely arranged, stiff, Blue-white beneath; cones larger than those of the species, bract scales somewhat wider and longer.

Originated in France c. 1845. From time to time similar plants are observed in seed beds. (RHS Encyclopedia of Conifers, 2012)
