Abies alba ‘Virgata’

Abies alba 'Virgata' is a broad columnar plant with limp, pendulous 4 - 5 feet (1.2 - 1.5 m) long branches, growing downward from the tips from the central leader.

Found wild in the Bohemian Forest, Czech Republic in 1879. (RHS Encyclopedia of Conifers, 2012)
