SFBG Curator-led Walk
San Francisco Botanical Garden - San Francisco, CA
Please join us on September 29, 2018 for a ramble around San Francisco Botanical Garden with their Curators. While we will certainly see some of SFBG’s magnificent conifers, we will also take note of what is blooming or particularly interesting in early autumn. (On the last curator-led tour, for example, we saw several instances of trees growing out of other trees, oddities that the casual visitor would certainly miss!) Autumn, as you know, is a time of particularly fine weather in San Francisco, and the softer light makes for wonderful viewing after summer’s glare. SFBG is an ACS Reference Garden and the recipient of the 2016 Western Region Reference Garden Grant. Garden entrance fees will be waived for ACS members who participate in this tour.
11:45 AM: Meet at the de Young Cafe for no-host lunch. We will gather just outside the INSIDE entrance to the cafe.
1:15 PM: Walk to SFBG
1:30 PM: Gather inside the main gate for a Garden walk with curators
Approx. 3:30 PM Tour concludes at the main gate
This walk is open to ACS members only, although each ACS member is allowed to invite one guest if there is space available.
Please RSVP to Sara Malone at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will limit attendance to ensure a rewarding experience.
We will send out an email a week or so advance to confirm and provide any additional details. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call me.
Hope to see you there!
