Pinus Lambertiana Propagation (1 Replies)

Group,
Has anyone in the upper Midwest of Northeast ever attempted to grow a sugar pine? The Joe Welker nursery says they will grow in zones 2-9 although, to be perfectly honest, I am just a tad bit skeptical of that claim. They do have some nice-looking specimens, though!

I have no idea but wow are they majestic in their habitat, with those long, long sparkling cones dripping off the ends of the branches.
