This is my first post here, and I hope it follows the rules. If there’s anything wrong please let me know.
I will be displaying three native American conifer’s at the upcoming show in Denver (Two limber pines (pinus flexilis) and one lodgepole pine (pinus contorta latifolia). And there will be many more conifers on display, so for anyone interested or nearby, this would be a great event to attend.
The show will be at the Denver Botanic Gardens on September 15-16. The exhibit will feature trees from many club members and talented bonsai artists. There are demonstrations each day in the morning and afternoon. I’m honored to be presenting a demonstration on Saturday the 15th at 2pm.
(This poster is not my property, but it was sent to all club members with the request to share.) The tree pictured is a beautiful Ponderosa Pine (pinus ponderosa scopulorum) by bonsai artist Larry Jackel.
The next photo is one of my displays for the show. This is a Limber Pine, pinus flexilis, from the Rocky Mountains of WY.
Jerry Morris is a big part of the RMBS. He has been a major influence on me as I I’ve grown in my passion for bonsai and conifers in general. I was really hoping to make it down to the ACS conference in Denver last month but couldn’t swing it. I hope it wen’t well, and I’m very happy that Jerry was honored in such a way!
Anyway, I hope to see some of you there!
