Finding publications (1 Replies)

Posted October 11, 2014 at 9:46 pm

Hello,

I was reading the fascinating information on Sciadopitys verticillata in the ConiferBase, and came to the reference section-

“References: For history and additional information see the ACS Bulletin Summer, 1998, Sciadopitys verticillata, The Japanese Umbrella Pine by Frank Goodhart and Japanese Umbrella Pine When a Leaf Isn t a Leaf by Timothy J. Brady, Ph.D”

Is the “ACS Bulletin” the same as the “Conifer Quarterly”? I tried to find it, but it only seems to go back to 2003. Also, is the second publication by Frank Goodhart archived with us, or must I search for that from a scholarly database?

Thank you,

Clay

Hi Clay,

I have the very Bulletin with the two articles you seek. Give me your address, and I will mail you a copy of both.
The “ACS Bulletin” preceded “Conifer Quarterly”. I have a collection of all of the “Bulletin’s”.

Ron Elardo, Editor CONIFER QUARTERLY
