Jan and I visited Brent when we were in the PNW to attend the WR meeting. Here is our post on our blog Form and Foliage with photos and background about Brent and the nursery.

Sara,
some of your blogs are known for me. I feel a very affinitive behaviour behind the scenes, which are likely for me. I guess you transform botany to common peoples, who understand you. Great.
Brent is an old friend of mine, who helped me to reach Greg Williams. His nice photos are built into the Conifer Treasury of the USA & Canada 2.0 2013.
The other blogs are also very interesting. Bob Fincham visited me in 1999, his strange adventures are still available as “Hungarian trip” on his site. Bob planted a Cedrus brevifolia in a gardening school in Budapest. The plant developed a great one since that time.
Talon Buchholz is a Conifer Master, who created the Conifer Library on his site. This is a hard basement of the Oregon Conifering, which I had to use as a source for the Conifer Treasury of the USA & Canada 2.0 2013.
I like your trunks and flowers, cones and powdering cones.

Thank you, Zsolt! That is praise indeed! And yes, you are right – I am trying to ‘convert’ more perennial gardeners to the joys of gardening with conifers and other woody plants. We like to visit the people like Bob and Talon who have so much history with the plants and share it with others.
Best,
Sara

Thank you, Sara, for the profile. Amazed by his knowledge every time I hear him speak, I was unfamiliar with his story, business practices or the business itself. I am so impressed, and it is such a pleasure to know such quality resources are so near my coastal home. Sandi

You are welcome, Sandi. If you are in the Portland area you should visit Conifer Kingdom. Also The Oregon Garden which is very close by – it’s a fabulous spot.
